ACCREDITATION

The West African College of Physicians has granted AKTH temporary accreditation for two years to train Residents in Pathology, Chemical Pathology and Heamatology Programmes.

The West African College of Surgeons too has granted Opthalmology Department partial accreditation for 2 years to train a maximum of 9 Residents. The college has also granted accreditation to Surgery Department to train 6 residents for part 1, urology 2, and general surgery 2.

Similarly, the National Post Graduate Medical College of Nigeria has granted the following departments accreditation to train Residents:-

1) Pathology Department 2 years partial accreditation to train 48 Residents.


2) Public Health Department 2 years partial accreditation to train 10 Junior and 5 Senior Residents.


3) Dental Department partial accreditation for 2 years to train 6 Junior and 4 Senior Residents in Dental Surgery.


4) Opthalmology Department is to train 6 Junior and 4 Senior Residents for 2 years partial accreditation.
