LAUNDRY AND LINEN

Functions of the Department:
1. Provision of properly laundered, disinfected and ironed linen items such as bed-sheets, pillow slips, counterpanes, blankets etc to patients as speedily as possible.
2. Provision and maintenance of protective clothing of Doctors, Technologists, Radiologists and other auxiliary staff for their day-to-day activities.

3. Adequate provision to meet the requirements of various consulting clinics and out-patient department linen wise.
4. Monitoring the consumption of all consumables and chemicals being used in the Department to ensure cost-effectiveness.
5. Operating a Revolving Fund Scheme in the Department to assist in the day-to-day running of the Department.

6. Maintenance of discipline among rank-and-file in the Department.
7. Ensuring a conspicuous cleanliness of equipment, factory floor and surroundings at all times.
8. Training of operatives in the effective handling of equipment and ensuring that safe methods and procedures are strictly adhered to.
10. Training of middle-level manpower in the industry for the Country.
