OBSTETRICS & GYNAECOLOGY

The department provided obstetrics and Gynecological services at all levels of health care in the hospital through the year.

These services were out-patients and in-patient care in the following areas.
(a) Antepartum, intrapartum and postnatal care for pregnant women and child welfare clinic.
(b) Gynecological specialist clinics for management out-patient complaints
(c) Obstetric and Gynecological emergency care with inpatient care.
(d) Obstetrics and Gynecological Operation
(e) Training Medical Students and Resident Doctors
(f) Conducting research in areas relevant to the community
(g) Management of the O & G revolving fund for the maintenance of clinical activity in the department
