PHARMACY
The Pharmacy Department has the responsibility of providing and managing all aspects of drug use in the Hospital.
Services Rendered
- General dispensing of drugs and other Pharmaceuticals
- Provision of drug information to the patients and other members of health care team
- Stocking and distribution of drugs and other Pharmaceuticals in the hospital.
- Provision of Retainership & NHIS Pharmacy Services
- Therapeutic drug monitoring Services
In addition to the main Pharmacy (GOPD), the department has eight pharmacies spread within the Hospital, namely:

• The Accident & Emergency Pharmacy
• Specialty Pharmacy
• NHIS Pharmacy
• Retainership Pharmacy
• Dawanau Pharmacy
• Kumbotso Pharmacy
• DRF Pharmacy Store
The In-patient and the Accident and Emergency Pharmacies operate 24-hour. The other various units open from 8. 00 am to 9. 00pm. Other activities include:
- Drug and sundry procurement
- Organizing continuing education programme
